Grondseile was !!!! Soos daar vertel word, each to his own, of klink hy in afrikaans, elke brommer op sy eie....grondseil. Skud hom uit, vou hom op en druk dit in n sak. 

Ek is mos nog al die jare ń baie goeie egenoot!!

Kyk die tannie raak ook maar oud so ek maak maar plan om haar werk ligter te maak!

Daai betonmenger werk goed.

If I had a groundsheet (which I don't) because I love the feel of the sand and after the rain the mud squishing through my toes.....

besides a groundsheet is yet just another blooming bulky thing to fold up (more work) and pack away and is completely and totally un-necessary .....

I would just donner it in the swimming pool, leave for a day and drag ut onto the grass.... DONE

Speaking of grounsheets....

Back in the day when caravans where built and not slapped together with staples and copious amounts of wood-glue & silicone sealer I had a Campride Constantia....

A 4 berth solid side built so as to be able to be passed on to at least 4 successive generations...

Anyhow, it came with a PVC groundsheet Brownish  yellow on the top side and black underneath....

Then, solid groundsheets were BANNED!.................. OUR GRASS..............

So the scientists got involved and a hundred billion Rands later we had the porous groundsheet. Granted it weighed a fifth of the PVC one, and it did not really need to be swept every half hour but actually, it still killed off the grass and did nothing for the mud....

But anyhow every camper flocked to the goodie store and bought one..... (Yours truly found an old double carport cover at the rubbish dump, paid R20 and said what the hell... Does the same job)

Then they put blooming paving bricks down...... So then everyone needed to get pegs into bricks, so every camper flocked to the hardware and bought cordless screwdrivers and concrete drills.....

This turned the most quiet & peaceful of resorts into a noisy construction site............ But it also made the porous groundsheet a bit of a waste of money....

Sheesh...   Just waiting.... For everyone to flock to the goodie store and get.......................

A SOLID GROUNDSHEET..........

Ja Warren, ons almal wil nie daai grond en modder in ons woonwa of tent in trap nie.

Neither do I.... (in my tent-on-wheels) I just use my dustpan brush and / or a nat lappie if I have to....

My carport cover, I use it for fishing.... I don't need a landing net.....I just peg half in half out of the water to one side of my fishing rods, and when I land a fish it simply slides up the shadenet out of the water.... Before I leave I tie it to my keep-net stand let it soak all the "fish"smell out and drag it out and let it dry in the sun...

Jou metode is darem baie harde werk.
