See that a drive-in theater has opened in CT.....
seems this is because of the gogga
Now, the ONLY drive-in theater that still has a screen up, that I know of, is the one in Brits, on the same road as the cable-way, but much closer to the SPCA / Silkats nek....
Now drive-in theater's.... That must take all us ou-toppies back to good days and lot's of happy carefree memories of peace-sign Ford cortina's / Vauxhall's / Valiants / and snoepies toe for burgers / slurpies / peanuts & popcorn.....
Think they will come back to us up here?

Do I only miss drive-ins now....Grew up in the Vuildriehoek, those years we were spoilt for choice. Within spitting distance we could choose between Vaal Drive-in across the river, Vanderbijl Drive-in, Stokkiesdraai Drive-in, then another one between Vereeniging and Meyerton. The cleaning the windscreen spotless, scratchy speaker and slap chips...that was life!

Die een is my huidige "warm-kos lunch box"....
Destyds, as daar in-ry toe gaan, was dit vreeslik lekker keeery vleis saam stukkies aartappel en n spul anner lekker eetgoet en rys, een pot per persoon... Daaai kerry-en-rys wat by die teater was... Jong..... dit was alle-volgende-dag-harloop-virri-toilet..
So 4 potte in n slap cooler-sak om warm te hou, eerste skou en tweede skou.... yum-yum...
Saam MOUNTAIN-DEW...... Wie onthou daai koeldrank..... Yaaaaaaahoooooo...... Mountain-dew.....

Years later, I still used to go to the drive in... But on my bike, with an army inner sleeping bag & a pillow, and lie on the ground up against the side of my bike...
After that, I had a Toyota Stallion & put a 3/4 bed in the back... A sort of no-build camper......
Parked in the back row...... I had all sort's of things "on the go".... Watching movies was not exactly at the top of my "that's why I'm here list"......
