How to build a chuck box / camp kitchen in 3 easy steps
The origin of a chuck box goes all the way back to the days of Ox-wagons & hearding cattle on cattle trails.
The wagon that carried all the provisions was called the CHUCK wagon, and was presided over by the cook. all the things the cookie used to prepare meals and so on, was kept in a big box at the back of the wagon, and so it was called the CHUCK BOX.
Here is my version of a one to four person chuck box for remote - off grid camping that I made from a fishing tackle back-pack and the frame of a coffee side table and had covered by CANVAS AND ALIMINIUM CONCEPTS.
Step 1 put bottom half on table
Step 2 Put the spice rack & utensile rack flap over the bottom half
Step 3 put the top half ontop of the bottom half....
Camp kitchen complete.
Well you might ask, exactly what does this chuck box have to offer?
